Advancing in the Guilds

If you are thinking about joining a guild, the first thing you need to keep in mind is that any guild is a profit-oriented commercial undertaking. Otherwise, it simply would not exist. Guilds

The post-apocalyptic world of Land of Amun is a harsh place to live in. The external threats or the ones coming from underground are far more terrifying than those internal. In order to survive, it is necessary to mobilize your all resources. Thus, regardless of whether you are good or evil, strong or weak, there will always be a place where the absolute maximum will be required of you. And this place is the guilds.

Here, even such dishonorable organizations as Thief, Villain or Heretic Guilds have their place in the sun. The most intriguing and controversial of all is Social, perfectly matching the complex system of social relations in the world of Land of Amun. Before delving into each stat, however, it’s important to first define the scale used to gauge them.

The Nature of Magic

Magic holds a special place in the world of Land of Amun. As the sole absolute power— a direct extension of God— it was intended to be the unwavering bedrock upon which the delicate balance of everything was built.

What do I mean? Consider chopping wood: each log requires varying effort and accuracy, leading to varying results. In spellcasting, however, the outcome is deterministic. As long as the necessary conditions are met, you’ll produce one hundred identical Fireballs out of one hundred, regardless of the caster’s effort.

This approach significantly facilitates the balancing of engagements between mages and other combatants, such as archers, swordsmen, or dagger wielders. It introduces a healthy degree of predictability, where tactical execution and individual player skill become paramount, diminishing the influence of random chance.

What, then, is magic in the realm of Land of Amun?
