About Loa

Well, since the creator has written his biography, what's stopping me from doing the same? Moreover, I know everything both about myself and about him.

After all, I took up residence in his mind five years ago — to stay there for good. He would fall asleep with thoughts of me, wake up with my image in his head the morning (ha-ha), and even take time off from work to ride a sudden wave of inspiration. When insights came to him in the middle of the night, he would rise quietly and type as gently as he could so as not to wake the others, painting me in as many colors as he could muster. It all sounds romantic, but it's not enough for a serious relationship. And yet we're together, so how did that work out?

Oh, I have to say, it was not easy to come to this. When we first started dating, we didn’t talk much. He would drop by for a couple of days and rush to calculate, write, make up something literally on the fly, then disappear for a week. Eventually we began to see each other almost every day, spent an hour or two together, but I always wanted more…

You can understand him, though. He only truly began living his own life when he shed all those anchors — prejudice, routine, and other baggage he’d been dragging since childhood. Now he’s making up for lost time. I must admit, your “real life” is a constant compromise, and I’ve struggled with being relegated to a secondary or even tertiary role.

But the midlife crisis put everything in perspective, ha-ha. So, I must say that Mr. Alex Mizgailo is quite the fascinating specimen. An incorrigible optimist, though rather beaten by life, at one point he unleashed his enormous accumulated experience — curbed and silenced for over a decade — which called for a whole lot of obscene language. Well, the healthy aggression it triggered was enough to drive away everyone and everything that interfered with creating the Land of Amun world over the years — and even sufficed for my teeth and claws.

The latter came in handy to scratch and gnaw my way into my creator’s primary passion, defeating his other hobbies despite cutthroat competition. Nevertheless, circumstances being what they are, I only get time with him after his programming job — which I feel Alex is thoroughly fed up with — and there never seems to be enough of it for us…

I know I must now balance my emotional confession that I’m writing with watery eyes with some dry demographics (besides, here’s a donation link, if you’d like to Buy Me a Coffee — and please keep in mind my manicures, too…)
